Magnetic blocks travel set in a metal tin

We packed a handful of our translucent shapes into a flat metal tin that slips into a seat pocket or a small tote. The tiles grab each other by the edges, or they can latch right onto the lid. Everything tucks back inside before the soup arrives.

Lid as a base

The metal lid holds shapes flat or upright while a car turns. Children build out sideways from the rim, stick squares flat against the top, or stand small houses directly on the steel.

Small batch building

You get enough pieces for a stout little cube, a high fence, or a pair of small triangles. When space is tight, hands make do with a smaller spread, stacking panels one by one.

Color on the road

Sunlight through a back window turns these clear panels red, green, and deep amber across a lap. The tint is cast across the metal box while fingers click two edges into place.

Snaps shut fast

Clean up takes a few moments when the meal comes. Drop the loose pile inside the box, push down the lid, and slide the whole thing into a backpack side pocket.
