A blue box with enough clear panels to turn the living room rug into a spread of low walls and peaked roofs. The edges meet with a light snap as soon as two shapes come near. When bedtime comes, the whole pile sweeps into the drawstring bag in one go.
Squares and triangles
The basic shapes make wide floors, four-sided houses, and simple towers that go over and get built again right away. Children figure out the corners without any help from us.
Clear window tiles
Light from the window runs straight through the tinted plastic and paints bright shapes across the rug. Looking through the open cutout frames turns the room behind them a different color.
The quick click
Magnets along each edge roll to find each other, so sides hold firm while small hands position the next piece. Pulling a wall down makes a quick clatter that sounds like a mess but stays in one spot.
Bag on the rug
We pack a simple cloth bag in the bottom of this blue box so the pieces do not end up under the sofa cushions. Everything drops inside with room left over for tomorrow.
